Psychology Services – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Naturmend is pleased to offer psychology services with psychologist Karyn Zuidhof. Karyn specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, commonly known as CBT, is a therapeutic approach which focuses on assessing an individual’s thoughts and actions to facilitate change in their lives. Specifically, CBT views our feelings and behaviours as a direct result of our thoughts, rather than external stimulants such as people and events.

CBT differs from other psychology disciplines in that it requires the individual being treated to take an active role in their therapy. Using CBT techniques, Karyn will work with you so you can acquire the tools you need to think about yourself and the world in a more realistic way, allowing you to come to your own conclusions and make long-lasting changes resulting in a happier, less-stressful life where you feel a stronger sense of control.

Learn more about CBT in this blog post and in our CBT Psychology FAQ. You can also learn more on Karyn’s website at
